The Club negotiated the tenancy of a wooden Hut in Feus Road, Perth, and incorporated the old established and existing Caledonian Bowling Club. The property leased from the Railway Board consisted of Green and Wooden Hut/Changing Facilities. This was the beginning of the Staff Club in Perth with an initial building of a members Bar & Hall. Further extensions since then of a Lounge, Cellar, Bar Area, and Kitchen.
The Club was established in 1970 and has a very healthy membership.
The Club is available to hire for your functions - Birthday; Anniversary; Wedding; Christening; Fund Raiser etc.
Is very much part of the Club, it consists of both Ladies and Gents. The Bowling club was formed in 1881, and has a direct link to the old Caledonian Railway Company that operated its line in Perth & Angus.
The Club have enjoyed numerous successes at County and National level, having representatives at Ayr Northfield from both Ladies & Gents. They also boast two international players in their history.
Their is a link to St Johnstone FC in that their first match in 1885, Tuesday 24 February, was played against the Caledonian Railway.
In the 1990's further changes was for the members to purchase the Club premises from the Railway and also for membership to be opened up to non-railway personnel.
Initial Railway Golf Club met in 1926 and amalgamated with the Staff Club in 1971. There is both a summer and winter league. With various competitions played for over the seasons.
There is currently a Ladies Darts Team; 2 Dominoe Teams; and 2 Pool Teams.
These teams play in the local leagues and also play cup competitions.
